When Trump made this statement at the Republican National Convention, who, then, would guess that he might actually have foretold his future in this election.
With all past Republican presidents, a flood of Republican congressmen and senators, former staunch Trump supporters, and even Pence, Christie and KellyAnne Conway refusing to "stand by their man", it is surely looking like he might have to do it "alone". (I don't count Giuliani because nothing he says is credible--brittle as a baked marshmallow.)
But not, really.
His supporters, unable to throw off the shackles of identification with Trump as an outsider, it seems they not only continue to support him, but even more ardently so.
